MD program for University/College students is tailored for candidates who are holders of at least Bachelor’s degree, and who have completed courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Humanities/Social sciences.
JU MC seeks individuals with both academic and extracurricular achievements. Applicants’ earlier careers should demonstrate maturity, integrity, creativity and initiative. Selection of students is based on their MCAT or GAMSAT score, individualized assessment of all available data, including past academic performance, and a personal interview.
The academic program mirrors the programs of that ilk in the U.S. and Canada. It meets not only the Polish teaching requirements, but also specifications provided by the EU and the U.S. (the US Department of Education Loan Program, Medical Board of California).

In the final year, our students are eligible to complete a clinical rotation in approved teaching hospitals.

Applicants are granted the approval of the Dean of the Jagiellonian University Medical College subject to the applicant’s academic performance at the JUMC School of Medicine in English.
On July 27, 2007, the Division of Licensing of the Medical Board of California granted recognition to the English language programs of the Jagiellonian University Medical College (JUMC). As a result of this decision, our graduates are eligible to enter postgraduate residency training, apply for licensure in California, as well as complete clinical rotations in approved teaching hospitals in California.
