General provisions for the academic year 2024/25

The School of Medicine in English has been allotted 60 spots in the following configuration for the academic year 2024/25:
– 9 spots in single rooms in the dormitory in Prokocim;
– 18 spots in large double rooms (for shared occupancy) in the dormitory in Prokocim;
– 33 spots in standard double rooms (for shared occupancy) in the dormitory in Prokocim

Deposit:

To secure a booking, payment of deposit in the amount of one month rent for the chosen type of room will be required.

For cancellations made by September 6, 2024, deposit is fully refundable.

The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE if:

• the booking is cancelled after September 6, 2024 (or within 3 business days from making the deposit payment, in case of bookings made after September 6, 2024);
• the student fails to check in within the indicated date and does not cancel the booking;
• the student checks out from the dormitory before January 1, 2025.

To apply for a room at one of the dormitories for the academic year 2024/2025, please:

1. Fill in the FORM (available from July 1, 2024, 8 am CEST until July 31, 2024, 11.59 pm CEST).
2. Availability of a room will be confirmed by a school office staff member in a response e-mail.
3. To secure the room, payment of the deposit will be required within 5 business days of the receipt of the availability confirmation e-mail;
4. Finalization of the booking will be confirmed via e-mail once the deposit is received by the dormitory financial department.
5. In case of resignation from accommodation at  the JU MC dormitory, it must be communicated to the School Office by email.

Note: Freshmen applications are prioritized. Non-freshmen will be automatically put on the waiting list; information on accommodation availability (or lack thereof) will be sent to the wait-listed applicants by email on July 29, 2024. Each student can only apply for one spot.

Summer stay

To stay at any of the dormitories over the summer (until September 17, 2024), an application is not required. Please contact the administration of the chosen dormitory directly.
