Student Support and Adaptation Center (Polish: Studencki Ośrodek Wsparcia i Adaptacji „SOWA”) is a joint venture of the Jagiellonian University and the University Hospital geared towards the JU students. It was launched on March 18, 2019 with the objective of providing the JU students with support in various spheres of their lives – personal and professional – which might impact their psychological wellbeing in a negative way.

You can simply come over and talk to the counsellor on duty.

Student Center for Support and Adaptation launched a CULTURE SHOCK GROUP designed for foreign students experiencing difficulty with adaptation to the role of a student. The group aims to help in overcoming language barrier, feelings of loneliness or alienation, cultural differences. It will commence it’s operation on November 7, 2019; meetings will be held every Thursday 9 am – 10 am by dr n. med. Katarzyna Cyranka – psychologist, psychotherapist in the Center’s seat at ul. Kopernika 27.
