Admissions to the program are based solely on the entrance examination results. Examination sessions are held in Kraków, Poland; Oslo, Norway; and Chicago (IL), USA.
Due to the epidemiological threat posed by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the entrance exam sessions during the admission process for the academic year 2021/22 will be held online.
Detailed information on the online entrance exam sessions will be shared with the candidates whose registrations were confirmed in the Online Application System.
Entrance examination description
The entrance examination is a multiple-choice test in reasoning and critical thinking in premedical sciences. The test verifies the candidate’s analytical skills and ability to solve problems logically, based on information provided, general knowledge and foundations of medicine. Knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics/Logic, Ethics is checked through problems based on text analysis, as well as questions related to charts, graphs and reasoning skills.
The entrance examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Each question has 5 answers, but only one is correct (except for true/false questions, where one has to choose a correct statement). Examination duration: 180 minutes.
After a candidate’s registration in the Online Application System is confirmed (positive verification of the documents and payment of an application fee), access to the examination tests from previous years and Chemistry Guides is granted. A sample of the new-formula-examination providing a selection of questions will be emailed to the candidate as well.
Due to the latest legislation changes, the formula of the exam has undergone modification, however, the materials from previous years can give one an overall idea of the difficulty level of the examination. The examination material scope from previous years (topics for Biology and Chemistry test) is available online for reference.
