VISA for non-EU/EEA citizens
Students are advised to apply for multiple long-term residence visa valid for one year (365 days). You need to contact the nearest Polish consulate/embassy for more information.
A short-term residence visa (90 days) will require prolongation of stay by applying for a temporary stay card upon arrival to Poland. Please be advised that you should apply for A TEMPORARY STAY CARD within 45 days upon arrival to maintain legal status in Poland (see the TEMPORARY STAY CARD for non-EU/EEA citizens). Responsibility for obtaining and maintaining legal status remains with the student. School Office will assist you with the preparation of documents required to apply for registration of stay and a Temporary Stay Card.

Application for registration should be supported by the following documents:
- A statement issued by the School Office to certify the enrollment of the student,
- Registration proof (see: REGISTRATION OF STAY)
- Copy of a passport
- Copy of health insurance document
- Declaration about sufficient resources to cover the subsistence costs in Poland (only students who do not obtain an educational loan)
- Two recent colour passport photographs.

Registration of stay (zameldowanie)
Application for registration should be supported by the following documents:
- Passport
- Flat-to-let or buy/sell contract (original in Polish)
Students who stay at the school dormitory do not need a contract. They need a statement from the dormitory administrator.
EU citizens can register within 30 days upon the arrival. Students from outside the EU need to register within 4 days upon arrival.

TEMPORARY STAY CARD for non-EU/EEA citizens
Temporary Stay Card is issued for 1 year and must be prolonged each following year. It is necessary to maintain the continuity of legal stay in Poland! Applications for prolongation of Temporary Stay Card should be submitted at least 60 days before its expiration date.
Note: According to the Foreigners Act, if the application has been submitted with the violation of time limits mentioned above, and the proceedings have not been completed before the expiry of the residence time following the visa, the foreigner is obliged to leave the territory of the Republic of Poland.
APPLICANTS SHOULD SUBMIT:
- Three application forms and information explaining the reasons for a stay in Poland for a period longer than 12 months.
- A statement issued by the School to certify the enrollment of the student, information about the amount of government loan and expected duration of studies should be mentioned.
- Registration proof (see: REGISTRATION OF STAY)
- Copy of a passport,
- Authorized Polish translation of birth certificate
- Copy of a flat-to-let or buy/sell contract
- Copy of health insurance card
- Declaration about sufficient resources to cover the subsistence costs in Poland (only students who do not obtain an educational loan)
- Five recent colour passport photographs.
Applications have to be submitted by the student to the Voivodeship Office in order to obtain the residence permit.

Temporary Stay Cards should be collected in person.
Before issuing a Temporary Stay Card, the governor may summon the applicant to explain the important reasons for submitting the application.
Students should apply for a new Temporary Stay Card in the case of:
- Change of name, surname, address in Poland and other data in the card,
- Change of appearance making impossible the identification of the person,
- Damage or loss of the available card.
ALL students should register at the Population Registration Section of the Administrative Department of the Municipality at Al. Powstania Warszawskiego 10 (1st floor).
The following documents are required to obtain registration proof:
- ID document (a valid travel document e.g. passport, or another photo document certifying his/her identity and citizenship). For a stay of up to 3 months, no legalisation of stay will be necessary. For stays exceeding 3 months (90 days), an EU citizen will need to register at the Voivodeship Office, Department of Citizen Affairs;
- lease contract;
- form (to be obtained in the School Office or at the Population Registration Section of the Administrative Department of the Municipality).
